TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) offers free individual and drop-in tutoring services exclusive to SSS participants.
Individual Tutoring
SSS participants can request individual tutoring services throughout each semester using the link sent from the SSS listserv. Participants are individually matched with the Scholar-Tutor who best matches their needs. Once the tutor and tutee have been matched, they are able to arrange 1-hour weekly tutoring sessions according to their schedules.
Drop-In Tutoring
SSS offers drop-in tutoring each week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM in a variety of subjects at Pit Stops. Pit Stop drop-in tutoring is a wonderful resource for homework help, quick questions, or brief review!
Final Exam Tutoring
SSS offers drop-in tutoring services the Sunday before final exams at our multiple hour exam study event called Yappy Hour. Tutors often also host full course reviews for the most challenging courses at Pitt!
